One of Ranbir Kapoor's many upcoming projects is Ramayana, which will be released in two parts.  One of the most ambitious projects, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, would have spectacular visual effects and big graphics.  According to the most recent information, the producers of Ramayana are aiming to create an experience akin to Oppenheimer and Forrest Gump. The movie is presently under production.

In a recent interview, producer Namit Malhotra stated that the film has the potential to appeal to a wide range of viewers worldwide and that it is his great duty to introduce a novel form of cinema to the globe.  He stated that the team as a whole is exercising caution to ensure that the errors made in initiatives such as Adipurush are not replicated in any way.  Since this is an opportunity that they won't have again, Namit said that everyone is working hard without sacrificing anything.

Notably, Namit has long been connected to DNEG, a company that focuses in animation and visual effects.  In 1997, he also founded Prime Focus, which has contributed to the visual effects of major international blockbusters like Star Wars.  It might be argued that Ramayana will be an entirely different experience for theatergoers given that Namit is a part of such a large organization.

However, given the outcome of Adipurush, it is questionable if audiences will be interested in witnessing this topic again.  Success is not always certain just because ranbir kapoor plays the protagonist, even if the movie is genuine.  With just a year to go before its premiere, it will be interesting to see if Ramayana becomes a huge hit or if the money spent on it over the years is wasted.
