Dhanush is now working on two projects: Idly Kadai, which he is directing himself, and Tere Ishq Mein, a bollywood film directed by anand L Rai.  Simultaneously, sekhar Kammula's pan-Indian film Kubera is scheduled for a global theatrical debut on june 20th.

In addition to these three films, dhanush has revealed his upcoming project, tentatively titled D55, with Amaran director Rajkumar Periyasamy. There has been an odd trend over the last few years: anytime dhanush works with a big-budget director, the movie usually doesn't do well.

Following his huge success with Rajinikanth's Petta, karthik Subbaraj's Jagame Thandhiram failed to live up to the high expectations. Likewise, gautham Vasudev menon produced a misfire with Enai Noki Paayum thota after Yennai Arindhaal.  Another example is Karthick Naren, who made the catastrophic Maaran with dhanush after making an impression with Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru.

Fans of dhanush are now concerned about if Rajkumar Periyasamy's film starring dhanush will likewise fail.  On the other hand, some individuals think Rajkumar Periyasamy will dispel this notion and produce a huge hit.  Let's watch how this project develops and whether it turns out to be a huge hit once it's released.
