Currently, Nandamuri balakrishna is working on akhanda 2, which is scheduled for release on Dussehra.  He will reconnect with filmmaker Gopichand Malineni, who previously produced Veera simha Reddy, after this production is over.  According to reports, Gopichand has written a compelling story that has thrilled balayya, and an official announcement is anticipated shortly.

In addition to this, Balakrishna's director lineup also includes K.S. ravindra (Bobby).  Puri Jagannadh is another name that has just come to light.  The film Paisa Vasool, which puri directed and featured balayya in a brand-new public persona, was a failure but a delight for Nandamuri lovers.  Puri had intended to work with balakrishna on another movie at the time, but it never came to pass.  After Liger and Double iSmart's disastrous failures and with no significant bids in hand, puri is apparently reaching out to balakrishna once more for a project.  To stay in the business, he urgently needs a lifeline right now.
 
He is attempting to collaborate with Gopichand on a project, but he is also attempting to work with a popular hero such as Balakrishna.  The likelihood of balakrishna joining puri, however, is slim considering his potent lineup and recent performance.  Puri, a former blockbuster filmmaker, is currently having trouble finding audiences for his movies.  He is capable of making a powerful comeback, but the crucial questions are still when and with which hero.
