According to the makers, Thandel has made about 100 crores, making it naga Chaitanya's highest-grossing film to date.  Despite this achievement, viewers' reactions to the movie were not entirely uniform.  The music and love tale were well received, but many viewers were unimpressed by the prison scenes.

Thandel, which was directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is based on actual events concerning Matchilesam fisherman.  One of the film's main attractions is the soundtrack, which was written by devi sri prasad and features sai pallavi as the female protagonist.  Now that Thandel's theatrical run is coming to a close, it will make its internet premiere.

The movie will be streamed in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and malayalam starting on march 7, according to an official announcement from Netflix.  Four weeks after its theatrical debut, the OTT release is taking place.  The key question at this point is whether Thandel will be reappreciated on streaming or if a deeper examination will highlight its shortcomings.  In any case, the movie will attract a new audience when it launches on Netflix.  Thandel, one of the most important films in naga Chaitanya's career, was produced by bunny vas and presented by allu aravind under the geetha arts label.
