These are the key changes in india Passport Rules..!?

From now on, if you want an indian passport, the central government has made key changes in the rules. The passport rules have been revised. The changes in the 1980 Passport Rules were mentioned in an official notification released this week. These new rules will come into effect after their publication in the official gazette.

-New indian Passport Rules

People born on or after october 1, 2023, will have to submit only a birth certificate as proof of date of birth for a passport (application). This birth certificate should be issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Municipal Corporation, or any other authority authorized under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969.
- List of Documents Required for indian Passport (Application):

1. Proof of Birth – (Any one of the following documents for those born before 1st october 2023) Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Municipal Corporation, or any other body recognized as an authority under the 1969 Act.

2. Transfer/School Leaving/Matriculation Certificate (issued by the last school attended or a recognized educational board).

3. Policy Bond issued by Public Life Insurance Corporation/Companies (with DOB of the policyholder).

4. In the case of government employees, a copy of their service record or pension order (for retired government employees) attested by the concerned Ministry or Head of Department.

5. Aadhaar Card / e-Aadhaar.

6. Voter ID (EPIC) issued by the election commission of India.

7. PAN card issued by the Income Tax Department.

8. Driving License issued by the State Transport Department.

9. Date of Birth Certificate issued on official letterhead by the Head of the Orphanage/Child Care Home.

- Documents required for address proof:

* Water bill.

* Telephone (landline or postpaid mobile bill).

* electricity bill.

* Income Tax Assessment Order.

* Voter Identity Card.

* Gas Connection Certificate.

* Employment Certificate issued by an officer of a recognized organization.

* Copy of spouse's passport (with first, and last pages and details of the couple).

* Copy of parents' passport (first, and last pages) for minors.

* aadhar Card.

* Rent Agreement.

* bank account photo passbook (only in public sector banks, private indian banks, regional rural banks).

Note: The passport (application) process will be faster if an Aadhaar card is submitted.
