Sreeleela made a big splash in tollywood a few years ago with Dhamaka, and she quickly rose to the top of the industry's young actress rankings.  Because of how quickly she rose to prominence, she even replaced pooja hegde in guntur Kaaram. But now that Bhagyashri Borse is becoming a significant rival, it appears that Sreeleela is in a similar predicament.

With Mr. Bachchan, Bhagyashri made her tollywood debut, however, the film was a box office flop.  However, it is evident from her current lineup that she is making rapid progress.  She co-starred with dulquer salmaan in Kaantha, opposite vijay deverakonda in Kingdom, and was cast as the lead actress in venky Atluri's movie with Suriya.  She also appears in the next film directed by ram Pothineni.

The rumors that bhagyashree has been chosen for Prashanth Varma's ambitious project with Prabhas, however, are the biggest surprise. Since all of these films are pan-Indian, if this is accurate, it would be a significant advance. It's no minor accomplishment to get such large projects done so quickly, and it begs the crucial question: Did Sreeleela initially hold some of these positions?

Bhagyashri may further displace Sreeleela from the top league if this pattern persists. Even though Sreeleela still has a following, she will require a huge hit to reaffirm her standing. Otherwise, it appears that history is being repeated, but this time she is the victim.  For Sreeleela, Nithiin's Robinhood is a very important movie.  She could regain some lost ground if that movie becomes a huge blockbuster.  Sreeleela might fall farther behind in Tollywood's top heroine competition, though, if it doesn't work.
