The first season of Pushkar-Gayatri's tamil online series, Suzhal: The Vortex, put viewers on edge.  The criminal thriller, which starred Kathir, aishwarya Rajesh, Sriya Reddy, and R. Parthiban, was a huge hit on amazon Prime Video because of its complex narrative and small-town setting.  Expectations for Suzhal 2 were, of course, quite high.

Reactions to Suzhal 2's eventual streaming are wildly divergent.  The program is still interesting, but it is not up to par.  Viewers are kept interested by the tension, but once the mystery is revealed, the ending drags on needlessly and loses its punch, leaving them with a disappointing experience.

The background music by sam CS, which encapsulates the spirit of the Ashtakaali festival, is passable but falls short of the eerie intensity that may enhance the watching experience.  Although it is effective in the tamil Nadu context, audiences speaking other languages might not find it as compelling.

Sam CS just makes a mediocre attempt at Kantara, although many were hoping for anything as strong as Ajaneesh Loknath's work.  Suzhal 2 was another significant chance for sam CS after the pushpa 2 debacle, in which he claimed to have completed 90% of the BGM but received no acknowledgment.  It appears to be another failure, though, since the music doesn't make an impact.  Fans of the first season should still watch Suzhal 2, even though it falls short of the high expectations.
