The third national-level two-day seminar on 'Modern Treatment Methods for Pets' began yesterday at the Veterinary college in Vepery, Chennai. In this, Subpaiyan, Secretary of the Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department of the tamil Nadu Government, released the seminar paper and said: Pets are considered members of our family. They expect the treatment provided to them to be at par with that of humans.
Currently, to control rabies spread to dogs and provide excellent treatment to pets, veterinarians should work together with the Animal Welfare Board, NGOs and local bodies in their area. tamil Nadu university of Veterinary Sciences Vice Chancellor Selvakumar said, "The professors of this university have received training in countries like America, european union, and england and are providing excellent treatment.
