Dr. Chauhan was born in 1942 in Uttar Pradesh and earned his master of Science degree in Chemistry in 1963. He began his career with one of the biggest industrial organizations in India. He was awarded a scholarship in 1966 to study plastic technology and chemical engineering at a higher level in West Germany. He then joined Daetwyler europe as Head of Research & Development.
