With Hanu Man, director Prasanth varma created a huge hit that had a dramatic effect throughout India.  Awe was an excellent start to his career, and each picture thereafter has further broadened his scope.  He recently revealed that kannada actor Rishab Shetty would play the protagonist in jai Hanuman, the Hanu Man sequel.  However, Rishab has not yet set dates for jai Hanuman because he is now working on the Kantara prequel.

Prasanth varma had originally intended for the movie to be released in 2025, but due to schedule issues, delays are now unavoidable.  It seems that his original chronology has gotten off course.  He thought he would have finished at least half of the shoot by now, but he hasn't.  The presence of Rishab Shetty is crucial to the movie's development.

The fact that Rishab Shetty is also committed to a hindi version of Chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj, which is slated for release in january 2027, further adds to the uncertainty.  Jai Hanuman's success is much more questionable because this undertaking will take up a large portion of his time.  Prasanth varma, meanwhile, seemed more focused on his recently publicized collaboration with Prabhas.  With a tentative title of Brahmarakshas, he has already written a binding script and believes this is his best chance to become a premier pan-Indian filmmaker.

Although the status of Nandamuri Mokshagna's debut film is still unknown, he is also dedicated to it.  Jai Hanuman is unlikely to be released in 2025 as scheduled in light of these issues.  It may be postponed until 2026 or, if circumstances change, 2027.  Jai Hanuman seems to be a far more complicated undertaking than Hanu Man, which was finished swiftly using teja Sajja and computer-generated imagery.
