Vietnam's Winfast is going to set up an electric vehicle plant in tamil Nadu as soon as possible. The company plans to set up a plant that can produce fifty thousand vehicles by 2025, and Winfast has decided to introduce electric SUV cars. However, it is said that it will not be able to capture the indian market that easily. According to the new electric vehicle policy, only 8000 vehicles with premium models of electric vehicles, i.e. vehicles priced above three million rupees, can be imported per year. They are subject to an import tax of 15 percent. This type of electric car is sold at a rate of 45,000 per year. toyota currently holds 80 percent of the market in this segment.
