PM Modi Navsari Visit Updates: On international Women's Day, prime minister Narendra Modi today interacted with Lakhpati Didis in Navsari, his home state of Gujarat. PM Modi attended the 'Lakhpati Didi Sammelan' in Vansi Borsi village. He also distributed financial assistance of Rs 450 crore to more than 2.5 lakh women from more than 25,000 self-help groups (SHGs).
Prime minister Narendra Modi today interacted with Lakhpati Didis in Navsari, Gujarat. PM Modi distributed financial assistance of Rs 450 crore to more than 2.5 lakh women of more than 25,000 self-help groups (SHGs) in Vansi Borsi village on the occasion of International Women's Day. After the interaction, PM Modi also did a road show. In his address at the event held in Navsari, PM Modi said 'My life has the blessings of crores of mothers and sisters in its account, I am the richest person in the world. The blessings of mothers and sisters are my biggest strength, my capital, and my biggest security cover. Respect for women is the first step towards a developed India.'
The Prime Minister said 'Today, two schemes, gujarat Safal and gujarat Maitri, have also been launched here. Money for many schemes has also been transferred directly to the bank accounts of women. I congratulate all of you on this too. Today is dedicated to women.' Before this, PM Modi interacted with Lakhpati Didis. During this, women shared their experiences with PM Modi.
All the arrangements for the event to be held in Vansi-Borsi of Navsari were handed over to women police personnel and employees. A total of 2,165 constables, 187 inspectors, 61 sub-inspectors, 19 DSPs, five DSPs, one Inspector General of Police and one Additional director General of police rank officers took charge of PM Modi's entire program. According to government sources, this program will set a new milestone in the field of policing, as all aspects of law and order as well as the program were managed by women police officers.
PM Modi earlier also gifted projects worth Rs 2,587 crore to Gujarat. On Friday, the PM inaugurated the 450-bed Namo Hospital in Silvassa. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 62 projects from Sayli Stadium.
