India won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, ending a 12-year wait, several heartbreaks in ICC knockout stages, and a history of troubles against New Zealand! india won the title once more at the dubai International Stadium after defeating new zealand by four wickets. After batting first, new zealand scored 251/7, which appeared to be a little below average.

They were encouraged by Michael Bracewell's late fireworks (53*) and Daryl Mitchell's 63.  However, India's bowlers, particularly varun chakravarthy and kuldeep yadav, kept things close.  One tendency, though, carried on a catch made by Muhammad Shami!

He made another return catch, bringing his tournament total to four. He is a world-class pacer!  Fortunately, the remainder of the attack prevented new zealand from winning the game.  India got off to a strong start in the pursuit.  The opening stand of rohit sharma and Shubman Gill scored 105 runs, making the task appear simple.

Rachin Ravindra's genius resulted in a quick stumping that changed the tide of the play, just as Rohit was about to get the game-winning hundred.  New Zealand retaliated and swiftly dismissed Gill and Virat Kohli.  The game was open once more as shreyas iyer was dismissed for 48.  KL rahul and hardik pandya had to complete the job with 32 required from 30 balls.

Even after Pandya hit a six, the tension was maintained by his dismissal.  Jadeja took over as the last over drew near.  With ice in his veins, he threw the indian fans into a frenzy as he swept Will O'Rourke for a four to seal the victory!  Fans at home found the action annoying, but it was thrilling on the field. Numerous people expressed dissatisfaction with JioHotstar's poor streaming quality, claiming that lag and buffering ruined important match moments.

However, nothing could ultimately overshadow this victory.  India won the Champions Trophy for the third time after finally overcoming their ICC knockout demons against New Zealand.  A beautiful finale to a momentous night!
