On social media, prithviraj Sukumaran's new appearance has drawn a lot of attention. people speculate that it could be related to S.S. Rajamouli's upcoming high-profile movie, SSMB29.  On march 3, 2025, prithviraj posted a picture of himself with a mustache and a clean-shaven face on his official instagram profile.  In a facebook post, his mother mallika refuted rumors that the image was created by artificial intelligence.
 
Mallika disclosed that prithviraj will be departing to work on Rajamouli's film, although she did not clarify whether the new appearance was for SSMB29.  Notably, the actor has not yet provided additional information.  The makers of SSMB29 are filming the movie in secrecy and aren't telling the public much about it.  The actors and crew had previously been forced to sign an nda by Rajamouli, which states that no one can discuss the movie until the producers call.
 
According to reports, the movie has a budget of about Rs. 1,000 crores.  Priyanka Chopra and mahesh babu will play the main parts.  Prithviraj has not disclosed the character he will play, but it is anticipated that his casting will significantly increase SSMB29's earnings in the malayalam market.  However, whether the movie will be released in hindi has not been verified by the producers.  Given that the movie would be split into two parts, the first of which will be released the following year, it is unclear if prithviraj will have adequate screen time in each.
