PIL filed in the high court regarding pushpa 2 collections..!?

A public interest litigation has been filed in the telangana high court regarding the collection of pushpa 2. ‘Pushpa 2’ is an action thriller starring allu arjun and directed by famous director Sukumar. This film, starring rashmika as the heroine, was released in december last year. The film collected more than Rs. 1800 crore at the box office. It is currently streaming not only in telugu but also in other languages on the popular OTT platform Netflix. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the telangana high court demanding that the profits from ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ be used as budget subsidy for small films and allocated for the pension of folk artists.

Advocate narasimha Rao has filed this Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding the collections of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. He brought to the notice of the court that the film ‘Pushpa 2’ earned more revenue due to special scenes and an increase in ticket prices. He said that the home Ministry had issued a special order and allowed the increase in the ticket prices for special scenes. He explained in the court that he did not give the reason for allowing the increase in the ticket prices for special scenes. He demanded that the profits of the films be allocated for the benefit of the artists as per the supreme court verdict.
The lawyer explained that the petition was filed regarding the profits made through the special scenes and the collection of tickets has already ended. Accordingly, the high court ordered the production of a copy of the supreme court verdict and adjourned the hearing for two weeks.‘Pushpa 2’ has become the fastest indian film to join the Rs 1700 crore club. The film has collected over Rs 1705 crore (total) worldwide in 21 days, the film team said. ‘Pushpa 2’ is also the highest-grossing film of 2024. It is noteworthy that ‘Pushpa 2’ has become the first indian film to join the Rs 1000 crore club in six days and the highest-grossing film in Hindi.
