Due to rising rates of obesity, diabetes, and sedentary lifestyles, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, or NAFLD, is becoming a major global health concern.  He claims that frequent exercise, especially aerobic exercises, has been shown to be beneficial in reducing the amount of fat in the liver.  According to Dr. Sumeet Kainth, "New treatments include experimental medications that target fibrosis, inflammation, and metabolic pathways.  To stop the progression of the disease, early detection and management are crucial.

He concluded that it is essential to regularly screen for high-risk patients, such as those who have Type 2 diabetes or obesity.  Future targeted medicines combined with lifestyle modifications may offer a holistic strategy for successfully controlling NAFLD.
