An H1B holder became even more anxious when her husband's social media activity threatened her chances with USCIS, as if obtaining a Green Card in the US wasn't difficult enough.  On social media, the immigrant worker expressed how she was "freaking out" over her husband's pro-Palestine and anti-Trump tweets from 2016 to 2022. Her husband is a US citizen.  She is now afraid that the reason her EAD hasn't been accepted after seven months is because he hasn't tweeted in years.

According to some, USCIS is more concerned with fraud than free expression and lacks the time to investigate past political views.  However, some users cautioned that if they discovered anything, MAGA fanatics working for government organizations would cause problems.  This concern demonstrates how the community is living in terror of trump in the White House, even though no indian immigrants have yet to have their visas or Green Cards revoked for social media activity.

As advised, it's preferable to keep your spouse's or your own content private if they have problematic posts.  Even innocuous remarks on US immigration can cause lifelong problems in such an unpredictable climate. Let's wait and see!
