The Test, which was directed by S. Sashikanth and starred Nayanthara, Madhavan, and siddharth in the key roles, will be available for direct Netflix distribution on april 4.  The team had originally intended for the film to be released in theaters, but because of budgetary constraints, it will instead debut immediately on Netflix on april 4th in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
 
Due to their previous films' poor box office results, siddharth and Nayanthara, two of the movie's main performers, are currently going through a difficult time.  Both are working to make a good movie.  After working on several hindi films, Madhavan, the third lead, is returning to kollywood after a two-year hiatus.
 
With South indian films like Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaj, Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran, and Dulquer Salman's Lucky Bhaskar, Netflix india has seen a huge increase in viewing.  Their first original film of the year is The Test.  Whether The Test will be a huge hit and aid siddharth and Nayanthara in making a powerful return on april 4th is still up in the air. The film critics are eagerly awaiting the release of the movie on OTT and good reviews can earn the movie a good run on OTT.
