Giving information, security officials said that security forces on tuesday rescued 104 passengers held hostage in a train by suspected Baloch militants in the troubled balochistan province and killed 13 terrorists.
According to officials, the Jaffar Express, carrying about 500 passengers in nine coaches, was going from Quetta to Peshawar in khyber pakhtunkhwa when it was fired upon between Gudlar and Piru Koneri areas on tuesday morning.

The balochistan Liberation army (BLA) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Pakistani government, demanding the release of Baloch political prisoners in exchange for 214 hostages held by it.
The group said in a statement, 'The BLA has maintained full control over the train and all the hostages for the last eight hours. Under the rules of war, these 214 hostages are considered prisoners of war and the BLA is ready to exchange prisoners.'
