The actress is now preparing for Retro, her upcoming tamil movie. The film's production company, Stone Bench Films, recently disclosed why pooja hegde was chosen to play the lead role. They revealed that what really impressed them was Pooja's commitment and readiness to dub for her voice. For the first time, the actress is dubbing in her own voice in a tamil regional film.
The production company said, "Many names were proposed when director Karthik Subbaraj was looking for a heroine, but pooja hegde was the one who attracted everyone's attention. 'This is the girl we've been waiting for!' Pandiyaa personally affirmed after viewing her. Her ability to deliver conversation in tamil fluently was the sole question. However, pooja, who has always risen to obstacles, told the team with confidence that she would also conquer this.
They went on to say, "She started her daily tamil training after passing an impressive look test, and she shocked everyone by doing even long monologue sequences beautifully. The crew had a lot of fun on set, even baffling her with more difficult tamil terms.
