For indian applicants, receiving an H-1B approval should be a relief, yet it seems that nobody can be sure of anything.  In one instance, an authorized H-1B unexpectedly entered Administrative Processing (AP) rather than being issued.  The dependant H-4 visa, meanwhile, was granted without any problems.

"When I checked the CEAC status at around 2:00 PM, both showed as "Approved," the indian applicant posted on social media.  But by the time I checked again at around 5:00 PM, my husband's status had changed to "Administrative Processing," while mine had changed to "Issued."  One commenter on the site said it was unexpected that the H4 was given before the H1B.  It might be the case, though, that the certification procedure is taking a surprisingly lengthy period.

Even worse is another instance in which an H-1B holder who received clearance in october 2023 was abruptly notified that their approval had been revoked.  Revoked following a site visit; no warning, no document or RFE requests.  The community has experienced severe panic and bewilderment as a result of this.  In the latter scenario, the individual is left frantically trying to determine whether they are going to be expelled or have a grace period.

For indian H-1B employees, this is the unpleasant truth.  You feel safe one minute, and then you find yourself in a state of uncertainty.  The worst aspect is that the authorities have offered no explanation, leaving you with no choice except to have your case investigated by a lawyer.
