The sequel to Nayanthara's highly regarded film Mookuthi Amman is being helmed by Sundar C.  A pooja ritual just marked the beginning of the movie, and now production is moving quickly forward.  There was a lot of initial conjecture that Regina Cassandra, who most recently played a significant part in Vidaamuyarchi, was also involved in this project.  Her attendance at the pooja ritual virtually guarantees that she will have a significant part in the movie.
 
Many social media users have now questioned whether sundar c will use glitzy aspects in an Amman film, as he has in other productions.  Netizens say that sundar c may introduce a glamorous viewpoint through Regina Cassandra, who has appeared in daring parts in the past, while Nayanthara does not take on attractive roles and is playing Amman in the movie.

With regina cassandra confirmed to be a part of this masterpiece, Mookuthi Amman 2 is the largest movie in Sundar C's career and is being made on a budget of above ₹100 crores.  It's unclear if Mookuthi Amman 2 will be a box office hit and if sundar c can build on his recent success with Madha Gaja raja and Aranmanai 4.
