The Electric State, the latest film from the Russo Brothers, will be available on Netflix on march 14, 2025. This high-budget sci-fi film, which is based on Simon Stålenhag's graphic novel, follows Millie bobby Brown and chris Pratt on a retro-futuristic journey.

However, first evaluations indicate that it falls short of expectations. The Electric State, which is set in an alternate 1990s, follows an orphaned youngster named Michelle (Brown) as she searches for her brother who has gone missing with the help of a robot and a drifter (Pratt).  This is one of the priciest movies available on Netflix, with a $320 million budget.  Filming took conducted in Atlanta in 2022 and 2023 after Netflix acquired the project in 2022 after Universal Pictures had originally produced it.

On february 24, 2025, Grauman's Egyptian Theatre hosted its premiere.  Although the ratings from Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic have not yet been released, the first reviews from prominent sites have been generally unfavorable.  The Times described it as "a turgid eyesore" that depended too much on computer-generated imagery, while The Guardian described it as "a soulless wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital experience" and stated it was badly done.

Netflix hopes that despite its significant investment, The Electric State will continue to appeal to viewers.  We'll have to wait and see if it's a massive failure or a sci-fi classic when it comes out on march 14, 2025, but some people will still be captivated by the stars and the cinematography.
