Former pakistan Player says Afridi forced him to convert religion..!?

Former player of the country's team Danish Kaneria has accused his teammate shahid Afridi of repeatedly forcing him to convert while playing for the country's team. Danish Kaneria played for the pakistan cricket team from 2000 to 2010. Since it is a Muslim country, only Muslims are included in the country's cricket team. In this context, Kaneria became the second Hindu player to play for the pakistan team after Anil Talbat.
A spinner, Kaneria has played 61 Test matches for pakistan in 10 years and has taken 261 wickets. He has taken 5 wickets 15 times. In 2012, he was banned for life for allegedly engaging in spot-fixing. Subsequently, he left pakistan and migrated to the United States.
In this situation, Danish Kaneria has now spoken openly about some of the incidents that happened to him in the pakistan cricket team. He said: I faced discrimination based on religion in the pakistan team. Due to this, my cricketing career was ruined. I did not get equal respect and dignity in Pakistan. We are now in the United States. We are speaking now to let America know how much we suffered in pakistan, he said. In an interview given in 2023, Kaneria said that former Pakistani player shahid Afridi forced him to convert. Speaking about it, he said, 'I was doing well in my cricket career. The then captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was very supportive of me. But many Pakistani players including shoaib akhtar and shahid Afridi kept pressuring me. They would not even sit and eat with me. In particular, shahid Afridi kept insisting on me to convert several times. But Inzamam-ul-Haq has never behaved like that with me,' he said. The pakistan team, which is facing various problems, has now been rocked by the accusations of a teammate who has forced players to convert.
