Pakistan Army: The train attack in pakistan shook the country where Baloch militants took passengers hostage and killed 26 people. In retaliation, the Pakistani army killed 33 terrorists.
Balochistan Attack
Pakistan's army informed on friday (March 14) that the balochistan Liberation army (BLA) militants who ambushed a train in balochistan killed 26 hostages. These included 18 army and paramilitary personnel. director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General ahmed Sharif Chaudhary gave this information in a press conference with balochistan Chief minister Sarfaraz Bugti.
According to Chaudhary, the militants attacked the Jaffar Express which was carrying more than 400 passengers. After the attack, the passengers were taken hostage. In response, the security forces launched an operation which continued till the evening of the next day. During this, 33 militants were killed while more than 300 passengers were rescued safely. The army spokesperson said that a total of 354 hostages were rescued, including 37 injured passengers. Five Frontier Corps personnel were also killed during the operation.

The Pakistani army spokesman once again accused india of spreading unrest in Balochistan. He also showed a purported video of former indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav in which he was said to have confessed the involvement of India's spy agency RAW. india reacted strongly to this and said that pakistan should focus on its internal matters instead of blaming others for its failures. india also said that the whole world knows where the "center of global terrorism is."
Pak army claims – terrorists have Afghan connections
The army spokesman also expressed the possibility of this attack being related to Afghanistan. He said that the terrorists killed in several operations in pakistan were of Afghan nationality. Pakistan's security forces are currently conducting about 180 intelligence operations per day. 59,775 operations were carried out in 2024 while 11,654 operations have been carried out so far in 2025. The Pakistani government and security forces are constantly claiming strict action against terrorism.
