Sunita Williams News

NASA and SpaceX successfully launched a manned mission to the international Space Station (ISS) on Saturday. This mission has been sent to bring back nasa astronauts sunita williams and Butch Wilmore, who have been stranded in space since last June.

The Dragon spacecraft took off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in florida at 7:03 pm ET on friday (4:33 am IST on Saturday) via a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Today is a very important day in Sunita Williams' return from space. Today (March 16), NASA's mission Crew-10 will connect to the space station. After this, sunita williams will give her farewell message.

The flight on march 14 was heavy

US space agency nasa shared a post on social media platform X, writing, "Have a good time in space, everyone!" Crew10 took off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center at 7:03 pm ET (2303 UTC) on friday, march 14.

SpaceX said, "Falcon 9 launched Crew-10, Dragon's 14th human spaceflight mission to the space station." The Crew-10 mission will carry nasa astronauts Anne McClain and nicole Ayers, japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Takuya Onishi, and Russian space agency Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov to the ISS.

It will take 28.5 hours to dock

The spacecraft heading towards the ISS will take about 28.5 hours to dock autonomously to the international Space Station. After Crew-10 reaches the orbital laboratory, NASA's SpaceX Crew-9 mission will return to Earth, including sunita williams and Butch Wilmore.

The launch was originally planned for march 13, but the launch had to be canceled less than an hour before due to a problem in the hydraulic system of the ground support clamp arm on the rocket.

Precautions will have to be taken even on return

Regarding her return, Sunita Williams had said that she would first like to meet both her dogs. They are very special to her. Even after a safe landing on Earth, Sunita and her colleagues will have to face many challenges for a long time. They will have to take care of everything from food and drink to walking.

Williams and his colleague Butch Wilmore have been stranded since june 2024

Williams and his colleague Butch Wilmore have been stranded on the international Space Station (ISS) since june 2024. Both went to the ISS in June on an eight-day mission aboard Boeing's Starliner. However, technical problems made the Starliner unsafe for their return.

NASA said that Wilmore and Williams are actively engaged in research and maintenance work on the ISS along with other astronauts and are completely safe. It is expected that on march 20, Williams and his colleague Butch Wilmore will return to Earth.
