Global Conflicts
Prime minister Narendra Modi expressed his concern over global conflicts and the role of international organizations in an interview given to American AI researcher Lex Fridman on sunday (March 16). He said that a major reason behind the increasing conflict in the world is that the international organizations that used to be very influential have now become almost irrelevant. Giving the example of institutions like the United Nations, he said that these organizations are failing to fulfill their basic responsibilities and no significant improvement is taking place in them.
Referring to the Russia-Ukraine war and the Middle east crisis, PM Modi said that instead of finding solutions in today's world, many institutions have deviated from their original role. In such a situation, it has become necessary that important reforms be made in international organizations so that they can be able to deal with the challenges of today's time.

He clarified that some countries and leaders are doing as they please by disrespecting international rules, which has created an atmosphere of unrest in the world. He said that when a country does not follow global laws and despite this it is not stopped, it creates a situation of instability in other countries as well.
PM Modi stressed that any nation should avoid adopting a policy of conflict only to increase its power. He said that all countries should forget their differences and move forward in the direction of cooperation so that global stability can be maintained.
