Bill Gates' big advice to india on technology!
microsoft co-founder and billionaire bill gates has praised india growing in the field of technology. He said that India's emergence as a developed nation by 2047 will have a positive impact not only on india but on the whole world. He said in the indian Express program Express Adda that if india maintains the 2047 plan, then not only it but the whole world will benefit from it.
bill gates said that it seems that this is a great situation when there is a debate on whether the growth rate will be 5 percent or 10 percent. He said that I do not think it will be 10 percent, but it also does not seem that it will be less than 5 percent. He emphasized that economic expansion will be a big investment of the government in education and health and this will create many new opportunities.
However, while talking about Artificial Intelligence (AI), bill gates said that technology will bring change. But he flatly dismissed fears that it would lead to job losses. He said jobs are created by scarcity and with the help of AI we can have enough food and medical care, without everyone working like they do today.
Gates further said that despite knowing the capabilities of AI, he admitted that he was worried about its rapid development. He said- 'If I had control over it, I would have slowed it down.'
The microsoft co-founder praised India's approach to adopting AI, especially the open source foundation models that can meet local needs and are compatible with local languages. However, he also warned against heavy subsidies in chip manufacturing and said india should enter this industry only when it is competitive.
