According to officials on Sunday, Muskan Rastogi, a meerut lady who allegedly poisoned and killed her husband, dismembered his body, and sealed it in a drum with the assistance of her lover, had bought depressive medications days prior to the incident. Rastogi purchased three prescription medications, including antidepressants and sleeping aids, on march 1, three days prior to the murder of her husband, merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput, according to meerut drug inspector piyush Sharma.

Documents proving she bought the medications on march 1 were found when Uttar Pradesh authorities searched a medical store in meerut on Sunday.  Officials have not yet confirmed, though, if her husband was drugged with these medications prior to his death on march 4.

"Yes, she used to get medications from this business, but I won't make any judgments just yet.  The drug inspector informed news agency ANI, "We have gathered documentation and are looking into whether the medications that were bought were from the NRx category (which requires a prescription) and where they were distributed."

According to the officer, Muskan bought three different kinds of medications from the medical store: an antacid, an anxiety medication, and an injection of Midazolam.
