In a surprising twist of events, a kanpur man outsmarted a cybercriminal and took ₹10,000 from him, reversing the scammer's position. Someone claiming to be a cbi officer called Bhupendra Singh.  The scammer threatened to take legal action unless he paid ₹16,000 to resolve the issue, claiming to have compromising videos of him.  Bhupendra chose to cooperate and deceive the con artist after seeing a scam.

He initially seemed to be in a panic and informed the con artist that he required ₹3,000 in order to get back a gold necklace that had been pawned.  The scammer sent the money, believing the story.  A few days later, Bhupendra told another story, claiming that because he was a juvenile, the jeweler had refused to release the necklace.  By posing as the jeweler, his friend persuaded the con artist to send an extra ₹4,480.
 
Finally, Bhupendra deceived the scammer into giving an additional ₹3,000 for a fictitious gold loan processing charge.  It was already too late when the con artist realized he had been duped.  He begged for his money to be returned, but Bhupendra had already told the police about the incident and promised to donate the money.  Online frauds are becoming more and more common, but one case is unique in that the victim took advantage of the circumstances.
