On march 30, a sunday, Sikandar is scheduled to be released.  To optimize box office potential, the producers chose this unconventional release strategy rather than the customary friday release on march 28.  Even if this tactic has been around for a while, missing friday seems pointless and can indicate a subpar product.  It appears that the filmmakers are unsure of their work.

At first, Sikandar was predicted to open at 25 crore on march 28.  The movie's opening might now reach 35 crores with the additional sunday release.  Collections are anticipated to increase dramatically, potentially reaching 45–50 crores or more, since Eid falls the next day.  Even so, these numbers can still appear insignificant in light of Shah Rukh Khan's recent supremacy.  On a non-holiday (January 25, 2023), SRK released a 55-crore opening with Pathaan, and on a semi-holiday (September 7, 2023), a 65-crore opening with Jawan.

Salman's Sikandar should ideally make 50 crores on its first day and 60 crores on Eid in order to equal SRK's present level of fame.  Salman, meanwhile, is working with an unpopular director like AR murugadoss and is coming off a difficult period.  To demonstrate his star power, salman must have a 40-crore opening on march 30.

The movie should aim for 55 crores or more on Eid if word-of-mouth is favorable.  Tiger 3, which came out on Diwali, has the largest opening for salman to date. Sikandar is anticipated to debut at about 35 crores, but a fantastic trailer might help movie surpass tiger 3's opening receipts.
