With Pavish and Anikha Surendran in the major parts, Dhanush's third directing endeavor, Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), debuted in theaters on february 21 and ended its run with a mediocre rating.  Since yesterday, the film has been available for streaming on amazon Prime Video, and people who were unable to see it in theaters are now viewing it on OTT and commenting on it.
 
After seeing NEEK, a lot of people on social media have said that dhanush should just concentrate on acting because the movie isn't very good.  They also noted that none of the actors did well, with the exception of Mathew Thomas.  Although some spectators thought that Pavish and a few other performers gave somewhat respectable performances, many deemed Anikha's acting to be wholly unnatural.
 
Meanwhile, several audience members responded favorably, saying that NEEK is a decent performer.  It is a standard love story with a respectable writing, as the trailer indicated.  These are only preliminary reviews, though.  It is unclear how the audience will react to the film as viewership increases and whether NEEK will be successful on OTT. At the same time, memes and trolls are also flooding for the movie.
