Hyderabad cricket Association (HCA) new chairman jagan Mohan Rao said in an exclusive interview that Sunrisers hyderabad (SRH) pays ₹1.5 crore as rent for each match at the uppal Stadium. According to him, neither the HCA nor the bcci has any authority over the management of the matches or the supervision of the operations. "Once we rent the stadium to SRH, the franchise is responsible for everything from ticket sales to match logistics. We collect ₹1.5 crore as rent from them for each match, that's our responsibility. They take care of all the rest of the operations themselves," he revealed. SRH plays 7 home matches in a season. With this, the management pays a total of ₹10.5 crore as rent to the HCA every season.

This latest revelation seems to have further clarified the roles of the IPL management and regional cricket associations. The stadium is only rented out. This makes it clear that the full control of the matches will be in the hands of the respective franchises. The HCA chairman's statement has brought to light an important issue regarding the financial aspect and management responsibilities of the IPL matches to be held in Hyderabad.
