
Edappadi K Palaniswami, the leader of the opposition and general secretary of the AIADMK, came in third place with 10% of the vote, while K Annamalai, the leader of the tamil Nadu BJP, received 9%.
According to the results, Stalin's leadership is strongly preferred, and his approval rating is far higher than that of the other candidates. Even though his party hasn't officially made its election debut yet, Vijay's rise to second place shows how popular the actor is becoming politically.
Public satisfaction with the performance of the tamil Nadu government was also evaluated by the study. The results showed that 15% of respondents were "very much satisfied" with the government's performance, whereas 36% were "satisfied to some extent." Nonetheless, 25% said they were "not at all satisfied," and 24% weren't sure.
Of those surveyed, 22% were "very much satisfied," and 33% were "satisfied to some extent," with MK Stalin's performance as chief minister. In the meantime, 22% said they were "not at all satisfied," and 23% weren't sure. The results show that although stalin is still the most popular leader, opinions on his leadership are divided.
Public opinion of the performance of leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami was also represented in the survey. Just 8% of respondents said they were "very much satisfied," compared to 27% who said they were "satisfied to some extent." Conversely, 32% expressed that they were "not at all satisfied," and 33% were unsure.
While asked which concerns were most important to them while casting their votes, 15% of respondents said women's security was the most significant issue, followed by rising prices at 12%. Ten percent of voters named drug and alcohol misuse as a major concern, compared to eight percent who named unemployment.
There was also disagreement among the public on the Legislative assembly members' performance. Thirty-two percent of respondents were "satisfied to some extent," compared to 16 percent who said they were "very much satisfied" with their MLAs. In the meantime, 27% were unsure and 25% did not express satisfaction.
The survey's findings indicate that although stalin is still the most powerful figure in tamil Nadu politics, the state's political landscape may change in the 2026 Legislative assembly elections as a result of growing public dissatisfaction with governance and Vijay's surprising ascent to prominence.
