Whitefield Art Collective Kicks Off The 8th Edition Of Its Arts Competition In Bengaluru.

The Whitefield Artwork Collective (WAC) has kicked off the 8th version of its month-long pageant at VR Bengaluru this week, with the subject matter Destiny is Now. See our coverage of previous versions of the pageant from 2017 onwards here.
The inauguration ceremony featured the lighting of the conventional lamp and the unveiling of the artwork show off Kala automobile, an inventive introduction by way of LGBTQ+ activist and artist kalki Subramaniam. This was served via a fusion veena recital by way of maestro Rajhesh Vaidhya and classical dance performances through Srishti Nritya Kala Kuteera.

A partnership with the british Council brought about the initiative Five Films for Freedom, using cinema to propose inclusivity and identification. "Every other key partnership is with the chennai Image Biennale, amplifying voices of neuro-divergent and differently-abled artists," she adds.
A special gallery featured archival maps from the MOD foundation, imparting Bengaluru's evolution as a town. Different featured artists encompass Gita Hudson, Soonyoung Yang, and Pawan Kumar.
Such partnerships have helped make the competition richer and more diverse. "As we have fun with our 8th edition, we're thankful for the developing help and reputation from establishments that feel those fairs for his or her position in bringing communities together," Gupta says.

UNESCO has launched a book titled A Braided River: The Universe of indian women in Science. "This exhibition at WAC is a step towards fostering identical recognition, pay, and opportunities for girls in STEM fields globally," he provides.
The pageant inauguration ended with a show on sustainable fashion at the Whitefield Hands Craft Brewery, titled The Subsequent Wave: Circular Style for a Brand New Technology. put together by using style stylist prasad Bidappa and Rajini Rekha, founder of
