India sent help to Myanmar

India has sent relief material, rescue teams and medical equipment in five military aircraft to help the people affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar. Taking immediate action in view of the devastation caused by the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand, india started its relief mission, which has been named Operation Brahma.

India has sent relief material, medicines, an 80-member search and rescue team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and an army field hospital to Myanmar through three C-130J and two C-17 Globemaster aircraft. According to the report of news agency Associated Press, the National Unity government (NUG), which is leading the struggle against military rule in Myanmar, has announced a unilateral partial ceasefire to assist in relief operations after the earthquake.
