Concerns regarding Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) future in hyderabad have been raised by the intensifying conflict between the team and the hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) over free IPL 2025 passes. There is growing conjecture on whether SRH owner Kavya Maran may think about moving the squad after telangana chief minister Revanth reddy ordered a vigilance investigation into the accusations against HCA.

Kavya Maran, who enthusiastically attends every SRH game and is an integral part of the team's leadership, has been keeping a careful eye on the events.  In relation to the distribution of free passes, SRH has accused HCA of harassment.  Recently, a letter documenting the alleged pressure from the association was made public by the SRH management to the HCA Secretary.

The letter claims that for more than 12 years, SRH and HCA have worked together and have regularly given away 3,900 free tickets under their agreement.  Fifty tickets were allotted for the F12A corporate box out of these.  The F12A box's seating capacity has been lowered to 30 seats for this season, nevertheless.

In order to make up for the decrease, HCA allegedly demanded an extra 20 tickets from another corporate box.  According to SRH, they recommended more discussion in order to arrive at a just conclusion. But according to reports, HCA closed the f3 corporate box during a recent game and demanded the additional tickets, threatening to unlock it if they didn't.

"This is not the first time HCA has resorted to such pressure tactics. Over the last two seasons, our staff has faced numerous difficulties due to HCA's conduct. We have repeatedly brought these issues to their attention. This year, even the HCA President issued threats on multiple occasions.

Their behaviour suggests that they do not want Sunrisers hyderabad to play at this venue. If that is the case, we will consult with the BCCI, the telangana government, and our management to consider shifting to another venue," wrote Srinath, SRH's General Manager (Sports), in the letter.

Following these claims, cm Revanth reddy requested a quick investigation and voiced his strong displeasure with HCA's actions.  HCA, however, has refuted the allegations, claiming that they haven't received any correspondence of that nature from SRH.  But the matter has gained legitimacy because the chief minister stepped in and ordered a probe.

Notably, neither her father, Kalanithi Maran, nor Kavya Maran has yet to issue an official remark on the subject.  It is unclear if she will be present at the april 6 SRH vs. gujarat Titans game in Hyderabad. Even worse, if the matter is not resolved, the game might be moved completely outside of Hyderabad.

The conflict has sparked questions about HCA's governance, and the investigation's conclusion may have a big impact on the association and hyderabad IPL games.  All eyes are on the results of the vigilance investigation and the response from the relevant authorities as the matter develops.
