Digvesh rathi fined for mocking Priyansh Arya..!?

lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Digvesh Singh Rathi, who behaved in a manner that made fun of punjab Kings batsman Priyansh arya when he lost the match and was dismissed in the 2025 IPL series, has been fined 25 percent of his match salary. In this match held yesterday, the lucknow Super Giants team batted first and scored 171 runs. Then the punjab team chased aggressively. The team’s opener Priyansh arya was the only one to lose the game in single digits. He scored only eight runs in 9 balls and was caught by Digwesh Singh Rathi’s bowling. Priyansh arya and Digvesh Singh rathi are playing on the same team in the delhi State t20 series. Digvesh Singh Rathi, as his friend, behaved in a way that mocked Priyansh Arya. When arya was walking away after getting out of the match, he approached him and gestured as if he had a book in his hand, which had written in it that he should take his wicket and finish it.
A few years ago, west indies fast bowler Kesrick Williams was involved in such a celebration. He used to do this by making a batsman lose the match if he hit too many boundaries in his bowling. It is noteworthy that he later stopped this celebration after protests arose. Digvesh Singh rathi also did a similar celebration. He may have made fun of Priyansh arya on the basis of his friend, who played in the same team with him in the delhi t20 League. But the umpires condemned this. When Digvesh did this incident, the umpires warned him not to go near him and do something like that. Now the bcci has issued a notice and fined him 25 percent of his match salary. In addition, he has been given a demerit point for violating the IPL rules.
