Before introducing Len Wiseman and Ana de Armas to the Colosseum stage on tuesday morning, Lionsgate began its CinemaCon studio presentation with a lengthy preview of their collaboration, Ballerina. In some of the video that was shown on the big screen, the director and the star talked about the explosive action movie, which is a spin-off of the popular franchise and stars Keanu Reeves as john Wick.
"This is the most physically demanding and difficult thing I've ever done," de Armas, a previous CinemaCon Action Star of the Year, acknowledged. She claimed that she trained with weapons, action, and ballet for three to four months. According to De Armas, the fighting and ballet flexibility-based scenes were "very creative and very fun to do."
Wiseman, for his part, stated that he has long enjoyed the series, especially the action's wit and inventiveness. The seasoned director stated, "I like to tease and trick the audience with the action when it comes to that kind of tone." "By simply taking the wheel and throwing it off course, by utilizing and capitalizing on the action clichés." "Holy shit, I did not expect that" is one of the reactions one can have to a particularly outstanding action scene.
The video, especially an action scene set at a restaurant when de Armas's character engages an assassin in a furious and violent altercation, was favorably received by the CinemaCon audience. Wick makes an appearance in a different moment and makes the suggestion, "You can still leave." There is still an option for you. Wick responds, "I'm working on it," when she asks him why he didn't leave.
