There is one persistent problem with Rashmika's duties that is disappointing, even though Sikandar's fate is still unknown. She has portrayed a female character whose main function in each movie has been to draw attention to the male lead's qualities. In Animal, her character geetanjali was created to highlight Ranbir Kapoor's strength and passion. In pushpa, Srivalli seems to be there merely to highlight Allu Arjun's fame.
In Chhaava, her portrayal of Yesubai was so flat that she was only a supporting character whose job it was to serve her husband. Despite the large age difference, her character in Sikandar also seems appreciative of being picked by the honorable male lead.
Her characters aren't robust or self-sufficient in any way. All of them are crafted in a way that only elevates the male lead. As a well-known actress, Rashmika's continual selection of such characters has actively reversed the advancements that other women in cinema have been working for, even if this problem is a result of years of patriarchal storytelling in movies.
