In a major tantric fraud scheme, a known gang has been targeted by the sambhal police. Using occult rituals, this gang, which had a network throughout agra, Firozabad, and Etah, would entice people with promises of "Dhan-Varsha" (a shower of money). After that, they would defraud them of their money and sexually abuse girls and women from low-income households.
When Rajpal, a victim who was allegedly born with inverted feet, filed a complaint on march 21, 2025, the matter became public. He claimed that he was taken to Etah and agra by Rinku, Ajay, and Durjan, who then bound him and tried to murder him. Luckily, he was able to get away and get home.
The probe turned up startling information about the gang's operations. Under the guise of these rites, young women were drugged, stripped, and sexually exploited. Numerous victims were captured on camera brandishing signs containing their name, age, height, weight, bodily measurements, and even the date of their most recent menstrual cycle. Allegedly, victims were chosen for additional exploitation using this information.
The gang's network was dispersed throughout multiple districts in Uttar Pradesh, according to the police probe. By pretending to be tantriks and promising to perform rituals on their daughters that would bring them wealth and prosperity, they would trick innocent poor people. The code language they employed allowed them to call their victims "TT" or "Article."
The inquiry also found that during the Tantra Kriya rites, the relatives of the victims were asked to go. The tantrik (Guru) used to physically torture the females under the pretense of ritual after their private parts were "worshipped" before the ceremony started. In addition to recovering illegal weapons, mobile phones, tantric materials, and a rare tortoise, the police have arrested 14 gang members, including a medical professional and a railway station master. On the cell phones, the authorities discovered hundreds of pictures and videos of about 200 victims.
An unconscious, nude female was sleeping next to the money, which is much more horrific than the disturbing scene in the films where money seemed to be falling out of the sky or being stacked into boxes. The horrible exploitation and abuse of these victims was highlighted by the video, which showed tantriks having intercourse with young females who appeared to be drugged or asleep.
The Wildlife Protection Act, the IT Act, and the Arms Act are among the laws under which the police have filed cases against the gang members.
