Recently, karan johar commemorated his 12 years as Student of the Year.  The now-famous alia bhatt, varun Dhawan, and sidharth malhotra were introduced in this movie.  But the follow-up, which starred tiger Shroff, tara Sutaria, and ananya Panday, was a huge failure.  Fans thought karan johar made a huge mistake by making it, and they could not bear to see it.
 
However, he has made the decision to release student of the year 3 on an over-the-top platform, therefore he is unwilling to quit.  The movie is still in the early stages of production, and the final cast is being chosen through auditions.  According to news reports, Sanjaya Kapoor's daughter Shanaya will play the female lead, and the hunt for a male lead is still ongoing. tv personality Tusharr Khanna, who starred in Naagin and Piya Albela, was reportedly taken on as the protagonist.
 
Fans, however, are questioning why karan is enduring all of this suffering when the movie is bound to fail.  Fans no longer find SOTY appealing, and new star kids have dashed fans' hopes with such movies; it may wind up being a memefest that no one requested, much as Nadaaniyan.
