"I feel like the script goes in a very specific direction that it’s not a big worry. This season especially is so character-driven, and there’s so much happening. It just makes so much sense to have the characters we have and to have the story we have. I think fans will appreciate it."

The ensemble cast is one of the biggest changes from season 1, even though Myers and Jenna Ortega will both return in the next season.  The cast of wednesday season 2 welcomes a number of new characters in addition to Xavier, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor, as well as a number of special guests. This season's plot will be more complex and intricate than ever before, according to director and executive producer Tim Burton.
