Veteran journalist Cheyyar Balu addressed the incident on his YouTube channel, expressing disbelief over such a gesture in modern times. “A person from Denduluru, andhra pradesh, has built a temple for Samantha. He has consecrated it with a bust-sized statue of her and his entire family worships her. Where are we heading? On one hand, we are witnessing global conflicts and rapid advancements in science and technology, and on the other, we are still seeing such acts,” Balu remarked.

He questioned whether there was any personal connection between the fan and the actress. “Is this person related to Samantha? Is he a friend or a relative? Apparently not. He claims he worships her because she has done a lot of good. What good she has done, I’m not sure. But it is certainly surprising that our very own Pallavaram girl now has a statue in andhra pradesh,” he added.
