Income Tax Department Notice to 'L2 Empuraan' director Prithviraj!?

The Income Tax Department has recently sent a notice to 'L2 Empuraan' director and actor Prithviraj, which has created a stir among kerala film fans. The film 'L2 Empuraan' was released on march 27 last month. This film, produced in the Prithviraj-Mohanlal collaboration, reached a collection of around 200 crores in 4 days. It also became the highest-grossing malayalam film in a very short period of time. Meanwhile, after some scenes from Empuraan were caught in controversy, Mohan Lal not only apologized for it but also promised that some scenes would be removed from the film. Following this, 24 scenes were removed from the film and re-censored. This new version was released in theaters from the day before yesterday. After some scenes were removed from the film, Empuraan has now faced a decline in terms of collections.
In this situation, yesterday, the incident where Enforcement Department officials raided Gokulam Chit Funds, the company that produced the film "Empuraan", caused a stir. After it was reported that the raid was conducted following allegations of illegal money laundering, Income Tax Department officials sent notices to the actor and prithviraj today. That is, "The Income Tax Department has asked actor prithviraj to explain his salary. Explanations were received regarding the remuneration he received for his previous films. Similarly, it is said that he has received Rs. 40 crore salary as a co-producer for directing the film "Empuraan" and has to show the accounts for this, according to the notice sent by the Income Tax Department (IT notice to 'Empuraan' director Prithviraj). This incident has created a stir in the malayalam film industry.
