In response to President Donald Trump's surprising moves, thousands of Americans demonstrated in the streets. The protests took place in a number of places, including Washington, DC, Massachusetts, and North Carolina. Protesters voiced their ire about human rights issues, economic effects, and job losses in government agencies.

Signs claiming that Trump's administration does not reflect the wishes of the American people were held by protesters. The demonstrators, who included specialists, lawyers, transgender people, labor unions, civil rights advocates, and people with disabilities, denounced trump and billionaire Elon Musk for their conduct.  Under the "Hands Off" campaign, more than 1,200 protests were planned by more than 150 groups.

In response to these demonstrations, the white house released a statement asserting that trump will always defend Medicaid and Social Security. Elon Musk, meanwhile, expressed his opinions when trump announced his tariff decision.  Speaking to representatives of the Italian League party via video link, Musk was hopeful that a "zero tariff zone" free of reciprocal levies would help the united states and europe forge a closer alliance in the future.

Civil rights activists, labor unions, LGBTQ+ organizations, veterans, and other organizations demanded a stop to the administration's aggressive restructuring of the federal government at more than 1,200 "Hands Off!" protests across all 50 states.
