On the occasion of ram Navami, the Muslim community in Siliguri, West bengal, threw flower petals and water bottles at the people during a yatra on Sunday. We welcome the rally on the occasion of ram Navami, Rustam Alam remarked in an interview with news agency ANI.
 
"We are sprinkling them with flowers... news outlet ANI cited Alam as saying, "We want both populations to live peacefully.


Despite increased security in the state to preserve peace and order during the celebrations, devotees flocked to the streets of bengal to experience the religious fervor as the celebration got underway with colorful processions and cries of "Jai Shri Ram."  Saffron banners, devotional music, and tableaux portraying episodes from the Ramayana added to the celebrations' grandeur, and the joyous mood was evident throughout the streets.

Over 60 rallies have been scheduled in kolkata alone, necessitating the deployment of 4,000 to 5,000 police officers.
 
Senior officials have been assigned to supervise security along the rally routes, including those with the positions of joint commissioner and deputy commissioner.
 
On ram Navami, thousands of Hindus are anticipated to take to the highways. To ensure a peaceful celebration, I would implore the state government to take action.  There will be no tolerance for any attempts to stop the festivities by force.  "No matter what you do," declared state bjp president Sukanta Majumdar, "Ram Navami celebrations will take place."


"Nagpur is the city of brotherhood...Our motive is to promote this brotherhood and peace…," said a member from the Muslim Sewa Samiti.

Prime minister Narendra Modi greeted people and wished that Lord Ram's blessings always remain upon us and guide us in all our endeavours.
