In a shocking development from Najibabad, Uttar Pradesh, it was discovered that a railway worker had been murdered by his spouse, even though she had initially claimed he had died of a heart attack. The startling disclosure followed the postmortem report's confirmation that strangling was the cause of death for 29-year-old deepak Kumar.

Deepak, who was employed at the Najibabad railway station's carriage and wagon department, shared a rental house in adarsh Nagar with his spouse, Shivani.  Earlier this year, on january 17, the pair got married in a love marriage.

But on Friday, when Shivani told Deepak's family that he had had a heart attack, things took a bad turn.  She hurried him to a community health center and then a private hospital, but the medical staff wouldn't admit him.  When he arrived at the Bijnor district hospital, he was pronounced dead.

When Deepak's family spotted bruises on his neck and demanded a postmortem, which showed that he had died by strangling, suspicions were raised.  The police opened a case against Shivani and an unidentified accomplice after receiving a complaint from Deepak's brother Piyush, also known as Mukul.  Shivani was placed under arrest.

Shivani attempted to deceive the detectives during their initial interrogation but ultimately confessed to the crime. "The deceased's wife is being questioned in connection with filing a report in the murder case of the railway employee.  The motive for the murder is being investigated. "Everything is being thoroughly investigated, whether it's a romantic relationship or something else entirely," stated sanjeev Bajpai, SP City Bijnor.

Officials said the incident seemed to have been staged with precision.  According to reports, deepak was eating when the murder occurred, and during the autopsy, food fragments were discovered lodged in his neck.  Police think he was strangled with a rope.

In his past, deepak served in the Manipur CRPF before leaving in 2023 to work for the railways.  Because of her tense connection with his family, he and his wife had lately moved out.  "She used to beat her mother-in-law," Deepak's mother, Pushpa, claimed.  Vedant, the couple's kid, is one year old.

There have been claims that Shivani may have killed the victim to obtain a job and financial support under the dead dependent system. Now, the authorities are investigating whether she had assistance in committing the crime.

SP City claims that Shivani confessed to the crime during the initial police questioning.  However, she consistently misrepresents who was with her," an official said.  According to reports, she provided one name, but the person has denied any involvement.  The identity of the second person who may have been involved is still being investigated.
