Following pushpa 2's widespread success in India, director sukumar has begun pre-production on his upcoming project with ram Charan, which is provisionally named RC 17. In a recent interview, sukumar was asked by the host if he would be interested in directing a tamil film for ₹1000 crore and whose tamil hero he would work with.
 
In response, sukumar stated that he would like to collaborate with tamil actors Vijay, ajith, and Karthi.  As of right now, this video has gone viral.  Social media users then noted that since ajith rarely collaborates with filmmakers from different industries and Vijay is now focusing on politics full-time, a future partnership between karthi and sukumar appears more possible.
 
Karthi will win the lotto if this partnership materializes.  But given pushpa 2's success, sukumar will probably collaborate with major players. A Karthi-Sukumar collaboration appears to be practically impossible at this time, as karthi is not a major pan-Indian celebrity, according to earlier rumors that he had already told Shah Rukh Khan a narrative.
 
At the same time, people have high expectations for Kaithi 2, and Karthi's next ventures appear promising.  A partnership with sukumar would be possible if his next films, such as Kaithi 2, become the biggest hits in India.  But sukumar seems sincere about wanting to collaborate with Karthi.  Whether this collaboration will continue or not is still up in the air.
