People have not been pleased with the numerous issues that have arisen after jio Cinema and Disney+Hotstar merged to form jio Hotstar. The streaming experience has gotten worse due to more bugs, fewer binge-worthy material, and more advertisements.  After the merger, it now appears that even the video quality has decreased.

Social media users have expressed dissatisfaction about the quality appearing to be halted at 1080p, despite having a fast and reliable connection. jio Hotstar is not able to deliver the flawless quality and Dolby audio that Disney+Hotstar used to offer for Marvel films.

It's one thing to have poor original content, but it's completely unacceptable to be unable to stream even licensed stuff in the desired original quality.  The platform ought to give fans the chance to view these films and television series in the highest possible quality.  There won't be many things that will bind jio Hotstar users in any other way.  Jio Hotstar may experience the same decline in users that Netflix did when SonyLIV was unable to stream WWE flawlessly.

One user posted, "JioHotstar post migration the videos does not seem to be transcoded properly, a lot of Marvel movies glitch when you watch them in 1080p with 100 mbps connection. It spoils the experience while watching it."
